Dr. Michelle Wong is the Deputy Regional Director of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Asia-Pacific, bringing over 20 years of experience in environmental science and policy. She leads FSC-APAC’s efforts to promote robust forestry solutions that support thriving forest ecosystems. Her work focuses on positioning FSC as a key tool for aligning with the EU Deforestation-free Regulation (EUDR), which enforces forest legality and sustainability, aiming to combat climate change and protect biodiversity. Michelle also spearheads initiatives to enhance forest ecosystem services, enabling businesses to make nature-positive impacts through responsible sourcing, sustainable forest management, and collecting impactful data for ESG reporting.
